| Oak View Stables is the home and farm of the Lawson family, who for over 30 years have maintained the full service hunter/jumper facility. The stable provides boarding, training, lessons, showing, & transportation of horses. Oak View Stables amenities include a 40 stall barn with an indoor ring, all-weather arena, dressage ring, and cross-country course. We have over 60 acres of pasture with run-in sheds, several paddocks and 5 ponds. The pastures are maintained being fertilized, seeded, & clipped regularly. Oak View Stables provides full and pasture board with large box stalls and daily turn out. The horses in our care receive the best of health care and nutrition, and are kept on a schedule for worming & vaccinations. Veterinarians make regular scheduled visits as well as an Equine Dentist. Only top quality grain, Alfalfa & Bermuda grass hay are fed to enhance their health & performance. The Farrier needs are met by a minimum of a once a week visit. Several farriers are available to serve our clients needs. To satisfy our customers varied needs, we offer lessons and training in hunters, jumpers, hunt seat equitation, combined training and dressage. We take pride in taking a student from an absolute beginner to a polished, confident equestrian. It is not mandatory to own a horse in order to take lessons. We have several school horses at varied levels for our students as well as horses of all ages and levels of training for sale or lease. Horse transport is available (day & night) to horse shows, events, clinics, fox hunts and the veterinarian if needed. Oak View Stables has sponsored a Schooling Show Series for hunters and jumpers for more then 30 years and continues to sponsor several shows each year. We have students who compete from the Beginner Cavaletti to Grand Prix jumpers in all levels of horse shows. We attend approximately 24 shows each season. Oak View Stables is the home stable of many of the Longreen Foxhounds Hunt members. The hunt schedule of hound training, fox hunts and hunt breakfasts add to the winter months activities.
