Meet our Staff:
Rose Marie Lawson - owner, Head trainer, instructor
A life long horse lover, Rose Marie, received her Horse Masters from the Pacific Horse Center
in Elk Grove, CA in 1976.  Returning home from school she married Wes Lawson and founded
Oak View Stables. Through the years Rose Marie has served on the boards of the WTHJA,
GCHS, Oak Grove Hunt, Longreen Hounds and started the Schooling Show series. Foxhunting,
combined training, hunters, jumpers and more recently carriage driving have been added to
her list of equine accomplishments. Teaching, training & judging have remained her passion for
more then 35 years. Over the years she has had multiple horses & riders achieve local as well
as national honors for combined training, hunters & jumpers in AQHA, ApHC, MHJA, MTHJA,
WTHJA, USCTA, & the USEF.
Wes Lawson - owner, horse transportation
Wes grew up in the horse business. Wes's father, the late W.G. Lawson Sr., owned and
operated Rolling L Ranch  & Lawson Park Stables on Old Brownsville Road in the sixties &
early seventies. Wes was always busy with the farm chores. Transporting the horses just
meant he could use the truck, an added plus since horsepower is his first love. He had no idea
it would become a lifelong endeavor. Having lived with the horses virtually in his back yard,
Wes is well aware of how important it can be to get your horse somewhere in an emergency.
Wes keeps the fleet of trucks & trailers ready to roll at a moment's notice.
Trey Lawson - co-owner, instructor, trainer, professional rider
Riding practically from birth, Trey began fox hunting when he was eight and has been a whip
for Longreen since 1995. Trey began showing hunters when he was seven.  Trey & his
horse, Maximilian, earned USEF Zone 4 Horse of the Year Awards from 1995 until 2004 for
Scout & Radisson, later having greater successes riding Samson's Secret, Easy Afternoon &
Bamas' Blues. In 2006, having earned his accounting degree from the University of
Mississippi, Trey joined his family in the day to day running of the farm. Trey has the patience
& instincts to bring along the young rider or horse to their full potential and accepts students
of all ages from beginner to advance.
